engagement: emili + mark
“Falling in love is easy. Falling in love with the same person repeatedly is extraordinary.” ~Crystal Woods
There's an ease about Emili and Mark, and it is apparent from our first hello. It's a beautiful Sunday evening in the North Georgia Mountains and we are spending time with these two and documenting their love story. By the time the sun went down, we were sure that these two would occupy a special place in our hearts. Maybe it was our off-the-wall suggestion to hop in the row-boat for a spin around the lake and their confession that they had already considered doing that. Maybe it was their expressive smiles which spoke volumes in silence, a language only they understood, but one we quickly embraced as the driving force of the session.
The light danced the entire time as Mark maneuvered the little boat around the pond. And when the light was just right, perfection.
It's never an easy to express emotions in front of strangers and have those smiles and touches be authentic. But when we asked Mark to kiss Emili wherever his lips might land, he said, "All over her face" and proceeded to shower her with kisses.
Beneath the shadow of Yonah Mountain in Cleveland, these two offered us a glimpse at their effortless love story.
Len and I can't wait to document their special September day. If today was any indication, all we'll have to do is just be at the right place at the right time and aim our cameras toward the light - the glow of their smiles.
Emil + Mark - Today was so much fun, and we left excited knowing that we will see you again in September to share your most important day. We wish you all the joy and love imaginable, and we thank you for this honor of documenting your love story.
It all can't be smooth sailing . . .
Even when Mark tipped the boat slightly, Emili caught her breath realizing how close they had come to a swim. When they reached shore, we saw the only casualty had been the seat of Mark's pants.
