a husband-wife team who has been traveling the world and capturing moments for decades. We're travelers, documentary photographers, and storytellers.
As a boutique wedding photography studio located in Hayesville, North Carolina, we only work with a select number of clients each year and we do that by design. We want to provide you with the best service, an open schedule, and a quick-turnaround of product. Whether it be a wedding or a branding shoot, excellence is our guiding force. We’ll go the extra mile in preparation and in the curation of imagery. We’re hands-on, authentic, and fun-loving. Our goal is to make the process and the images simple, classic, and timeless. Our style, for whatever project, is true-to-color.

Weddings
We're proud to offer a singular wedding package, which allows tailoring to your needs and budget.. All packages include two photographers, full digital gallery, personal print release, and mobile app. In addition to our signature editing, extensive editing (if needed) is complimentary on lab orders. Products are available to add-on to the booking service with discounts for bundling.

Commercial and Branding
Seeing Southern provides professional imagery for your business, as well as for personal projects. These images elevate your product line and showcase your business as a competitive player in your industry. Our goal is to promote your brand (and you) through lifestyle and product imagery that is unique to your business rather than using stock photos that say nothing of who you are. First impressions are everything.

General Sessions
Our general sessions include all your photography needs. From bridal sessions and engagement sessions to family, newborn and senior sessions, we offer a 60-minute session at the location of your choice (travel fees apply 50+ miles). All sessions include two photographers, full digital gallery, personal print release and complimentary editing on print orders placed with our lab. Discounts on prints and albums offered through our lab. Returning clients receive a 10% discount on general sessions.

Studio and Portrait Session
Our studio is located in our home in Hayesville, NC. Albeit an unfinished basement, it’s the ideal location for studio work. We have professional lighting, a variety of backgrounds, and the gear that will turn your afternoon into a dream session. This is where we’ll create the American Woman Project and it’s our location for studio headshots.

A Magical Weddng

A Summer Wedding

A Family Affair
It was like they were family and they did not want to miss a minute of the event. They had so many great ideas to help the newlyweds and the family's remember the great day. Making the Process Easy
I loved every step of the process with Len and Judy. I feel like we connected immediately from the first conversation to the goodbye hugs the night of the wedding. I appreciated them taking the reins the day of the wedding in capturing the sweetest moments and not bothering me with a ton of questions. I gave them total control of the photography for my special day and have the most beautiful pictures to show for it.

Captuing Every Detail
I sit here now, barely two weeks out from my wedding, already enjoying my entire wedding photo gallery from these amazing photographers that captured every detail as if they were using video recorders instead! Not only did they guarantee quick turn around on my photos (I think their words were "before you're back from your honeymoon") but the quality of work speaks for itself in the photos. They were such an joy to work with- often splitting up to cover ground and their easy banter with each other puts you right at ease when they're pointing those big cameras at you. I will never be able to thank them enough for making our day so special, and I'll enjoy it with their photos for the rest of our days.

Beautiful Margot
We had used SS for our engagement, wedding, maternity and now newborn pictures. It seemed only right to keep coming back to people who treated us like family and produced amazing work. Len and Judy from Seeing Southern are two of the most wonderful people we have ever met. Not only did we fall in love with their work and portfolio, but we love them as people as well. Their pictures capture the real emotions in the shoot, not just a "look". The editing is always dreamy and fits the mood of the shoot. We have had a wide range of pictures with them, and will continue to be thrilled with the results from future shoots as well. Len and Judy offer professionalism and knowledge paired with kindness and joy. You can tell they love what they do and they love each of their clients. Chapel in the Sky
You both were absolutely phenomenal to work with and the quality of your work speaks for itself. My husband and I really wanted the photos captured of our day to be the candid moments and they did perfectly. We didn’t feel like we were in a photo shoot. We were both worried because usually we don’t think we’re very photogenic but we LOVE all of our pictures - they’re beautiful. The photos we will cherish forever captured all the love, fun, and beautiful moments we experienced on our wedding day.
